Lofgren Statement on Democrats Retaking House Majority
SAN JOSÉ, CA — Today, Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren (CA-18), Chair of the California Democratic Congressional Delegation, released the following statement after the Associated Press projected that Democrats have retaken the majority in the U.S. House of Representatives:
“I’m so proud of the millions of Americans who cast their votes over the last few weeks to make their voices heard. Regardless of who you voted for, the new Democratic majority in the House is committed to lowering your costs, protecting your healthcare, and defending your rights," said Rep. Lofgren. “I look forward to serving in the 120th Congress and continuing my work on the Judiciary Committee and Science, Space, and Technology Committee. As Chair of the California Democratic Congressional Delegation, I’m also excited to welcome our newest Members from the Golden State and see them thrive in their new roles.
