Lofgren Statement on the Passing of Barney Frank

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren released the following statement on the passing of her former colleague, Congressman Barney Frank:

"Barney Frank was a friend and colleague," Rep. Lofgren said. "One of the brightest people to serve in the House, he was a fearless advocate with a wicked sense of humor and command of parliamentary procedure. He helped bring our country towards a more perfect union but wisely cautioned against litmus tests as the country moves forward. I'm thankful for the years I had the chance to serve with him. My thoughts are with his family."
