The California Democratic Congressional Delegation today issued the following statement regarding the passing of President Ronald Reagan:

We are greatly saddened to learn of the passing of President Reagan. President Reagan's commitment to public service was nothing short of impressive. As Californians we will always share his sense of optimism and conviction; and as Americans, we will miss his patriotism, charm and sense of humor.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Nancy Reagan and the entire Reagan family.
