As the only former immigration lawyer and immigration law professor in Congress, I'm painfully aware of how our immigration system is failing our country. I've been a long-time champion of reforms that will keep families united and support our economy.

But I want to talk with Californians directly. That's why I'm hosting a fireside chat in Soledad on Monday, October 5th from 6-7:30pm PT. I'll be discussing the actions taken by the Trump administration and the vision that House Democrats have for a more reasonable and efficient immigration process.
