Washington, DC — Representatives Lofgren and Honda (D-San Jose) hailed the announcement that the City of San Jose will receive two Department of Transportation grants totaling $12.3 million for the Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport. The grants will provide funding for runway and taxiway rehabilitation and also fund the effort to reduce noise in the area surrounding the airport.
