Zoe Lofgren and Senior Democratic Members of Congress wrote to Department of Homeland Security Acting Inspector General John Kelly demanding answers following news of a 7-year-old girl who died last week while in the custody of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials. Trump administration officials have since refused to take responsibility for the child’s death.
