Bills Would Protect Whistleblowers and Enhance Oversight

Bill Would Authorize $14 Billion Over Four Years

Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-San Jose) voted today to pass H.R. 720, Reauthorizing the Clean Water State Revolving Fund. This bill authorizes $14 billion over the next four years for the fund and provides low-interest loans to local communities for construction of wastewater treatment facilities and other water pollution abatement projects. The Clean Water State Revolving Fund has been the primary source of federal funding for clean water funding since it was created in 1987.

Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-San Jose) signed on as an original co-sponsor of the Airline Passenger Bill of Rights Act, introduced by Rep. Mike Thompson (D- St. Helena). The bill would give passengers the right to deplane after any ground delay of 3 hours or more and would require airlines to provide passengers with adequate food, safe drinking water, sanitary facilities and a reasonable temperature while waiting on an aircraft.

Questions USCIS Director on Usage of Proposed Fees and Future Plans

Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-San Jose) today was named Chair of the House Administration Subcommittee on Elections for the 110th Congress.
